    Dropbox Sync Problem with Special Characters

    We have discovered that in our form input field for Company Name which becomes the name of the folder in DropBox - when using periods (example: CBS Distribution, Inc.) causes the DropBox Desktop App syncing to computers to not sync. It makes it to the DropBox account but does not download to the computers using the DropBox Desktop App. Just thought you should know. This could be a DropBox issue, but thought you guys would want to know. We have put in a special character restriction script to block periods, etc. in that particular input field so this does not happen again.

    Yes, you are right. I asked this issue about our developers and they confirmed it, the issue occurs from the Dropbox API. As you have mentioned, avoiding special characters will be the best option while using the Dropbox integration.
