    Hello Matthew,

You could just include the link to the ebook in an autoresponder email.

You can compose your autoresponder email texts to contain anything you want.

Obviously, a form user won't get that email with the ebook link if the email address they have provided when filling out the form is incorrect.

If you really wanted to use the appearance of 'click verify an email address' functionality: you could use two forms. When the first one is completed, which may only contain an email address field, you could use an autoresponder to send on a link to a webpage with a 2nd form (which may  have a 'thankyou for verifying your email address' message on it)  where the user would submit a 2nd form, and then be directed towards his download.

Have I made those 2 potential methods/ideas clear enough? Let us know if you need any clarifaction on those or if you have any other questions.

No, Jotform doesn't have a 'Click to verify email feature.

But, you can mimic it quite easily using two forms.

Please review the functionality of the following form(s) :

Let me know if thats the sort of thing you are looking for, and I will explain how its' set up.

The idea is that the form user will only receive the link to your main 'download ebook' form if a valid email address is given in the first one.

I set up my 'Click to Verify Email' form like this:

    1. Add an email field

    2. Rename the 'submit' button to 'Click to Verify'

    3. Save this form.

    4. Create a new form from where I will allow the form user to download his ebook.  This is also the form that will house your email database.

    - Add a hidden field 'email' to the form.

    6. Get the URL of this form, by clicking on the Embed Form icon on the Setup & Embed toolbar. Copy this and save it somewhere. We will need it in a few minutes.

    7. There is a few ways you can make the link to your ebook accessible. The most simple is to just use an Custom thankyou message and place a link to the ebook there.

    8. Save this form.

    9. Open the first form again to add an autoresponder to it.

    - Click Email Alerts -> Add new Email

    10.  Set up the composition of your autoresponder email.

    11. To ensure maximum deliverability of your autoresponder emails, you should change the Sender Email to noreply@jotform.com

    12. Save the form.

The test form(s) for this example are here

You can in the submissions for form 2, I am building up a list of email address whose validity has been verified.

That configuration should supply the exact functionality you are looking for. Please let s know if you have any questions on that.

Thanks for your reply regarding my JOT FORM question regarding placing a thank you page so customers can confirm their emails....I am still confused as what I really was looking for was creating a "double opt in form" ....
so when the user but his name and email address on the first page ..it goes to another page that says thank you please check your email for a confirmation link
the user goes to their emails and confirms the link by clicking on it only then should the email be sent to our list-builder database (this is also so ourfuturemails dont get sent to spam box) ..and then a page goes thank you for confirming their emails ..and then I guess we could use another autorespondedto send them their ebook or redirect them to another page to down load their ebook...
appreciate any help you can give
    kindest
    regards
    Matt

"a "double opt in form" ....

so when the user but his name and email address on the first page ..it goes to another page that says thank you please check your email for a confirmation link
the user goes to their emails and confirms the link by clicking on it "

Thats exactly what my example above does

." only then should the email be sent to our list-builder database "

On your 2nd form you can set up the notification to be sent to your list-builder database as you know its a valid email.

My example does everything you describe, it may just take a little work on your behalf tailoring it to your exact requirements.
