    Passing field values from two forms to another form before submitting

    Asked by beautifulcanvas on December 05, 2015 at 05:32 AM

    if you could take a look at my web page www.beautifulcanvas.co.uk/order.htm you will see how my multiform is working, my question is , is there any way I can link the forms so that if a customer chooses from say the landscape/portrait form and another from the square form is it possible to show the total of both forms on any form and submit their purchase from any form ? or would the form have to be built in a completely different way to achive this ?

    thanks in advance.

    Unfortunately, passing values from two forms into another form before submitting isn't possible. For me, this is the best way if you would like to separate the sizing options.

    Or, you can do the following workarounds:

    CSS codes: http://www.jotform.com/help/178-How-to-Have-Sub-Category-or-Sub-Labels-on-an-Order-Form

    Form Source: http://www.jotform.com/help/181-How-to-Add-a-Sub-Category-to-an-Order-Form

    Basically, the above workaround will require you to add all items into a single form.

    Let us know if you need assistance implementing this to your form.

    ok I have had a look as best I can, this is what I have so far using paypal, http://www.jotform.com/?formID=53384192424961 I have only added for the moment just 1 size in each category, is it possible to make each category collapsible.

    Unfortunately, collapsible is not possible in the CSS method. You will have to use the source codes method if you want to add the collapse. And do note that the source codes method is only in the form view. In the backend, the order is based on what is shown in the form builder.

    If you'd like to use the source method, we can help you configure it. Just please finish the form and give us the form URL.

    Lastly, for the CSS method. You can prevent users from clicking the Category Headers by injecting the following CSS codes, for example:

    label[for*="1001"], label[for*="1002"], label[for*="1003"], label[for*="1004"], label[for*="1005"], label[for*="1006"] {

    pointer-events: none !important;

    }

    I hope that helps. Let us know if you need more help.

    If I understand correctly, the CSS code was really meant to prevent the category header from being interactive.

    I see it working on your jotform http://www.jotformpro.com/form/53384192424961

    Please let us know if this was not what you meant.
