email notification does not work whit google checkout on form

Asked by garyshapley on February 01, 2012 at 10:16 PM

Jot form will not send email notification when google checkout is used in the form. I can do a test notification and email gets sent, but when I run the form live and submit, it goes to google check out and the notifications are never sent. Any solution to this?

I noticed you have submissions that landed in the incomplete payments list.  This means that the form user submitted the form but when redirected to the payment gateway to complete the payment, he did not push through.

In payment submissions, you will only receive an email notification when you have received a submission that has been fully paid.  Otherwise, it will just land to the Incomplete Payments list in which you can view and manually complete or delete the submission.

You can view the incomplete payments list by going to the submissions page of your form and then clicking Incomplete Payment icon on the upper left of the tool bar

Note:  Pressing the Complete Submission button in the Incomplete Payments list does not mean that the user will be charged.  This only means that you are considering the submission to be completed and you have received the payment by other means.  Pressing the Complete Submission button will also deduct your submissions payment capacity by 1.

The form user was me and I did complete the payment at Google. The account at Google is pending verification. Is it possible that this would be holding up the notification emails?
    Thanks for your help

When you say the account at Google is pending verification, does this mean you were not able to be redirected to your thank-you page?  Most probably, although you made an attempt to pay, but the payment process was not actually successful, that's why your payment submission was tagged incomplete.

Please take note that an email notification will only be processed for sending when the payment has been completed and your submission is in the submissions list.

The account with Google was recently set up. Google makes a small deposit into the bank account and I must return to Google Checkout to verify the account by entering the amount of the deposit they made. The deposit did not show up in the bank account so the Google account is still pending verification. I am working on correcting the bank account info. Thought maybe this might be holding up the notification emails.
I personally filled out the form and submitted it and was directed to Google where I completed the payment. I hope the notifications will start coming once the Google account has been verified.
    Thanks again for your help.

I have the same problem. However, my Google Checkout account has been verified.  I get the email from Google saying I have recieved payment so I have to log into my Google Checkout account and process the fee. THEN I have to go into JotForm to find the Incomplete Submission, complete the submission and then it is finally complete. A lot of steps if you ask me.

I'd love to see this fixed. I'm running a summer camp and my registration is through jotform. If it doesn't get better by the end of summer I don't see the point of keeping my subscription.  I hate to be so negative but it is a lot of steps. I hope I'm just doing something wrong.  Any ideas?

    @horseineducation,

    Hi, this part...

I get the email from Google saying I have recieved payment so I have to log into my Google Checkout account and process the fee. THEN I have to go into JotForm to find the Incomplete Submission, complete the submission and then it is finally complete. A lot of steps if you ask me.

is only for incomplete payments. As liyam initially stated:

In payment submissions, you will only receive an email notification when you have received a submission that has been fully paid.  Otherwise, it will just land to the Incomplete Payments list in which you can view and manually complete or delete the submission.

Can you please confirm if what liyam stated is not what is happening on your end?
May I also ask for your understanding to create a new post instead  here

We will assist you further on your own post/question thread.

    Thanks.
