And is there a way to remove "Superintendent to click on Edit Submission for approval" in this second notifier - as he has already edited and approved/not approved and submitted?

I think it could be accomplished by adding some conditions, for example, the first one would be send the email notification to approval if the field Is this request approved ? is not filled, then when it is filled send an email notification, but without the Edit Link.
