My company has discovered an annoying issue that unsyncs Jotform and Dropbox with the company network folder when a customer enters a punctuation at the end of their company name in my company's upload artwork webform (Jotform). For instance: If that customer puts a period at the end of "inc.," attaches a file, and uploads, the file will upload. But, the file will only be accessible via dropbox.com and will not display in the network folder. The file reads as "companyname inc..pdf," and the sync is broken.
I have implemented two workarounds, but these are temporary and not a solution:
I disabled the ability to type punctuation in the company name field. Except the customer can still copy and paste punctuation, or use cached data from previous use.
I can simple go to dropbox.com and rename the file, and the file syncs with the network folder.
A better solution would be for Jotform to overwrite this function so that punctuation is not recognized. I would like to discuss any other possible solutions to this issue. This is causing a drop in productivity and I would like to discuss this soon.
