    Hi,

I have tried to create a form for visitors register to sign in and out of the office/building with no success.

I would like it to look something like this, although it would need to be one form with multiple names for several visitors

I would like it to have the sign in & out buttons to recorded the times.

I would also like to create the rule to hide the sign out button if they haven't signed in and also the rule of hiding the sign in button if they are already signed in.

I look forward to your reply.

Unfortunately, JotForm forms are not designed to act as part of a log in system. This can be done in our form builder BUT we do not allow this and you will violate our terms of use.

Forms asking or acts as a log in page mimics a phishing site, which is illegal. Our anti-Phishing system will automatically flag your form as suspicious and will suspend your account, repetitive violations might ban your IP in our end.

Please check our terms page under Phishing section, we do not allow forms asking for sensitive information like log in credentials, credit card details, bank information and the likes.

In your case, you should be okay as long as you change the "Sign In" and "Sign Out" text buttons. You can try "Time In" and "Time Out" instead.

However, you will still encounter challenges because the forms are designed to collect information and not act as a log in system. This should be possible by using the form's full source code, adding a custom script to save and fetch data on your database, but you will need to hire a developer or have knowledge on programming to properly design this.

    Thank you for understanding.

     Hi,

I think you have misunderstood my intentions and it doesn't have anything to do with Phishing.

All I want is to have a form that someone signs onto at our reception area – we call it a visitors register or guest book. No personal information is taken other than name, the time they arrived and the time they leave?

    Hi,
I think you have misunderstood my intentions. What you have described in the email below is not what I intend to do with the form at all.
All I want is to have a form that someone signs onto – we call it a visitors register or guest book. So my questions, do you have a form template that we can use for this function?
    Kind regards

    Hi,

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to create a guestbook form in Jotform. But you can check the following related threads for a workaround:
