    Wrong automated response sent

Asked by AnnWysorHarris on December 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM

I created an rsvp form and emailed the link out to folks just now. When they responded I (and they) got the response summary to another, different form. Now I cannot even find the orginal rsvp form to check responses in JotForm.

EEK! Should I begin all over and recreate the form?

    Thanks for you help!

    Ann

Thanks for the reply. I found my form and can view the submissions correctly. The problem is recipients are receiving a response summary email for a different form (a form which asks for date of arrival and computer needs) not the current "RSVP for a luncheon form". I tried to create a new automated email response and the email responses are all labeled with the same response #17.

When I tested my new email i still got the same old wrong automated email response. See below.

    Hi,

I have cloned your form and when I submitted it I got the emails with the wrong responses you are referring to, I have checked the current email notifier and Auto Responder and they are referring to another fields, seem like you have cloned the form and it has the autoresponder and email notifier with the old fields :

However, I have deleted them and the emails are working fine now, I created a new email notifier and a new autoresponder.

Please, try doing it, should work in your end as well, let us know the result.

    Thanks.

Hi, I just got a chance to try this and unfortunately it is still doing the same thing.
Name, email and comments fields are okay but no rsvp choices are showing, rather, “the date of arrival and computer needs” fields are still showing.
    Very puzzling!

    Hi,

Are you sure have you deleted and re-adding the notifier and autoresponder ?

    I'm checking this form : https://form.jotform.com/51586119967166

And I can see the last change was made 5 hours ago.

Also, I have checked the notifier and autoresponder and both are still the same, try modifying the notifier and the autoresponder.

Go to the Email tool, click on the email icon on the top toolbar :

Click on the edit button in the notifier :

A pop up window will appear, there you have the current info sent via email and on the right side you have the current fields in your form, just click on each element in the right side to add it on the email notifier.

Please, modify your email notifier and your autoresponder, and let us know if you are able to get the correct data in the email notification.

    Thanks.
