Do I have to use products in the payment tool for multiple payments to work?

Do I have to use products in the payment tool for multiple payments to work? I was not planning to put our products in the payment tool because there's a long list, with complicated discount combinations which I think I will have to handle with a calculations widget.

Depending on what you are trying to do whether you plan to use products or not the payment form more or less depends on how you want to use and display your products or  services if any.

Also, I would like to point out if you wish to keep it simple you could just collect information on your form and only send the payment price through if you don't want to use products.
