Is it possible (native feature, widget, app) to pre-populate fields on a form?

Asked by Lance  on December 16, 2015 at 01:20 PM

For example, user is asked to enter an ID (e.g., 3).

That entry is used to select values for user=3 from a xls/csv file ... and the values are used to pre-populate fields on the form.

This would allow a returning user to enter their ID and some fields would be automatically filled-in.

    thank you for a response

Unfortunately it is not possible to include capability to look up data in an external files form within the form builder.

To achieve this you will need to download the full source code, use a JavaScript library that will then search through a CSV version of the file for a matching record.
