How to delete area code or optimize it for mobile

Having lots of issues with guys trying to enter their phone number on mobile and screwing up, I would ideally like to delete the area code part of the phone number to make it easier and more straight forward, how do I do that without removing the current submission data?

The easiest way to do that would be to set the Input Mask option to ON.

That will make it turn into a single field instead of being 2 separate fields.

Now, the second option would be to hide that field and add a new one (plain text box with the validation for numbers only) above or under it. This would cause the new field to be shown and the old to still cause the data to be shown to you.

I would however recommend the first option above instead.

We can also assist with any CSS that might help you with the area code if you wish, but we would need to know what is the exact issue with the same.
