Open link in the same window?

    Hi,

I added some links in my form and when I click on them they open the pages inside the same frame than my form itself (see the screenshot).

I tried to change the link's target, but it only let my choose between "new window" or "none".

    I am using Joomla 3 with the embed code : <script type="text/javascript" src="https://..."></script>

I tried to insert the source code directly, but even with the right tools I got a blank page.

It would be fine if I had to open those few links in a new window... but i would be glad if there was any way to change that.

I already read those threads, but sorry I am not sure I understood everything... :-)

    Thank you for your time.

Could you please provide us the website link to where the form is embedded? The default embed code should allow your links inside the form to open in a new window.

Have you tried following this guide on how to embed the form in Joomla version 3: http://www.jotform.com/help/246-How-to-Embed-Form-to-Joomla-3?

If you are using the default embed script code and the links are still loading inside a frame, then it's possible that Joomla might be loading the form on a frame which causes the links inside it to not open in a new window.

    We'll wait for your response.

    Hi Charlie,

Sorry if I was not clear enough: I can choose to open my links in a new window and it works perfectly well. What I want is to open those links in the same window ("parent"), but outside the frame of my form.

As I said I can only choose the link's target between "new window" and "none", and the last one opens the new pages inside the form itself, which give an odd result...

I put my website online for now, so you can test that yourself here: http://phototheque.anaisequey.com/contact

Just click the third link in the contact form ("instructions") and you will see what I mean.

    Hi,

If I understand correctly, you want the third link in the form to open within the page containing the form? If that is so, then please allow me some time to investigate further so we can provide some solutions regarding your concern. I will get back to you in a moment.

    Regards.

    Hi,

On further investigation, I have come to the conclusion that there is unfortunately no way to open the link on the same window while outside the frame of the form using Jotform. One possible workaround I can suggest is to embed the instructions page using an iFrame embed widget to show it within the form without having to click on instructions link. Otherwise, you will have to ask your developer to edit the source to create a workaround for this issue.

Do inform us if you have any other concerns,
    Regards.

Alright, thank you for your answer.

I will open my links in new windows then.

Happy new year to you and your team!
