for example if a form user scan a barcode for barcode field, then the form is auto filled with the product part number, description, location. and all that information is pulled from a spread sheet that is somehow can be loaded to the website?

    Update:

just to clarify with another example for my requirement

if I have a unique identifier for each of my customers, would I be able to use that unique identifier as a trigger to auto fill a form with their information if it stored on a db or excel file in jot form? if yes, what function or app that can perform this task?

    Thank you

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately at this time, we do not have a barcode reader widget available.

We do however have QR Code Reader Widget that can be added to your form:

    http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/qr_code_reader

You view a sample form with the widget here: http://form.jotformpro.com/form/52085457226962

If you do not need a barcode reader, you can use the UPDATE FIELD condition. Once the users enters the proper code for an item, it would automatically update the other fields. This would require you to create many condition for each item.

The other way would be to use the source code and link your fields to a database so it will automatically update does fields.

Please let us know if any of this options works for you.
