Allow editing form submissions through form submissions page even if the form is disabled

    3.  Along the same lines, we sometimes have forms that we need to disable since the time to submit those forms has now passed.  However, when you disable a form, you are no longer able to edit submissions on our end either.  We cannot enable these forms again since there are people who have the link to the form and will attempt to submit it, but we still need to make various edits to these forms.  Is there a way that we can still have the form disabled for our clients and users so we will not receive anymore submissions, but still allow our agents to make the needed edits on the forms without enabling the form again?

It's not possible to edit a submission when the form is disabled. I have requested this feature to our developers. We can't promise any timeframe for this, but if there are updates, you should know it via this thread.

For now, please do the following:

    a. Add a text field at the top of your form showing an information that the form is currently disabled.

    b. Add a text box field below the text field and hide it (Properties > Hide Field)

    c. Add a conditional logic to hide the entire form input fields when the textbox is empty:

    Here's our guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/196-Hide-or-Show-Multiple-Fields-at-Once

Now, the idea is simple. The text field is shown as a warning message, the textbox field is hidden and can't be filled, therefore, the other fields will remain hidden.

I forgot to add that you should edit the submissions through the form submissions page (http://www.jotform.com/help/269-How-to-view-Submissions). The hidden field will be visible on edit and you can fill it to show the other fields to edit per conditional logic rule.

    Hello,

Thank you for submitting this to your developers as that would be a wonderful feature to have.  I will see about making these edits that you suggested and see if we can work around it for now.

    Thank you!

My company is in a similar situation. In our case, we've disable the form to an event registration, so that people with the link can no longer register. However, we still want to be able to add new invitees on a case by case basis. Could you please add a way for the jotform administrator to add new submissions, even when the form is disabled?

Your additional request for this feature has been noted.  We will update this thread if there is any progress.  Unfortunately, it has not been given a very high priority so it is not very likely to be added in the near future.

It is always possible to temporarily enable the form, add or update an entry, then disable it once again after the update is made.  My colleagues workaround for conditionally hiding the form fields based on a text box entry would also allow for removing access to form fields without having to disable the form.
