Follow up on Pending Question for: Spinner resets to zero when another spinner is altered

Asked by grade4pagasa on January 06, 2016 at 12:05 AM

This is a follow up on the Pending / Unanswered Question # 1 for: Spinner resets to zero when another spinner is altered

I know that the said ticket is already closed and the Original Poster (HookTours) is satisfied with the workaround provided - so, I won't reply there anymore, and instead, will just create a new thread where the update / answer can be posted here.

    -----------------------(Referenced Post)-----------------------

Hi Chriistian, thanks for the workaround you gave to HookTours

There are however still unanswered questions:

1.) why didn't the conditional logic work properly when it was set to Adults = 0? (Main issue)

2.) why was there a need to create an additional number field (variable) if we can use the existing 2 in the form (adults & children spinner buttons) to create a conditional logic?
(does this mean that there's a bug / glitch and using a number field will circumvent this temporarily?)

3.) in the workaround you provided, the children spinner can still be incremented even if Adults = 0. how can this be prevented? (please see animated gif below).

(the specification given by HookTours was:

Children must be accompanied by at least one Adult
(If Adults is 0 then Children must be 0 too)

(meaning: no adult companion - the child / children can't come - children spinner should be = 0))

Also, thanks for creating a new thread for the bug report i made. It was escalated to the developers by Sammy

    Randy

    Hi Randy,

I see that my colleague Sammy opened a ticket for you. I will also try to figure out that. If I find a solution I will update you at the following link:

    Hi Beril

The thread you referenced was created by Chriistian but replied to by Sammy (fig. 1). The thread topic there was for the bug / glitch in the spinner button on disabled state not working as expected.

Sammy also mentioned that he will find out what caused the problem on the main issue - question # 1 (why the conditional logic Adults = 0 won't work properly).

Since there's 2 different topics on that thread, I decided to create a new one where it can be addressed separately (the thread we're on right now).

Change topic. The avatar of Chriistian on fig. 1 is not the right one. I know that avatar belongs to Kevin_G. I recall BJoanna also reported this avatar glitch (fig. 2).

    Hi Randy,

Thank you for your interest. I will indicate that to issue to @ Chriistian. However he might be changed the avatar.

In addition to that, the thread was created by Chriistian but replied  by Sammy. It is normal because Chriistian created a thread but Sammy answered it due to chriistian was offline at that time.

    It is working fine.

If you have any question or issues, please do not hesitate contacting us. We will be glad to assist you.
