How to unhide and show the Unique ID in a form?

    Hello!

After reading an article I discovered Unique ID as a great way to increment by one numeral...and it works perfectly!

My problem is this: Jotform tells me that the field is not supposed to appear in the form. I need it to appear. How do I make that field UNdisappear? Or is there a workaround that accomplishes the same end?

    Thanks!

    Mark

    My demo form is:

    Unique Id-Test

You should try the random value generator instead.

Hi and thanks for your quickly reply.
    We need incremental not random.
We want to use this to create job numbers for our customers when they drop
off their watches. We are now at 147000 and need the next customer to be
    147001
Suggestions? The Unique ID is perfect but we need to get it to show...how
    do we do that?

This is not practical or possible. It is not known whether a user will (or how fast they will) complete a form. In other words, if three people load the form and it shows them UID_1,UID_2 and UID_3 and then the second person does not complete the form, there will be a gap in the ids. This is exactly the opposite of what the unique ID feature is designed to do. People expect the uids to be sequential upon completion, not before.

Got it, point well made :)
I did read that the unique ID CAN be provided in the emails, that is all I
    needed.
Thanks! When I look over the widget list, you guys seem to have thought of
    everything!

    Question:
I just plugged in the Xverify widget...really cool. Then I plugged in the
Preview Answers and seem to get a false positive. The Xverifiy caught an
bad email address, it was corrected but the Preview widget is seeing it as
    empty....
    Thanks,

    Hello again,
It seems we have two problems:
    1)
The Xverify widget and the Preview Submission don't play well together.
Even when I made the Xverify NOT required, and then fill in the email field
with a valid address, the email does NOT appear on the preview.

    2)
    I would like to:
    A) Preview and go back and correct if necessary. If corrections are made
then user is taken to preview again.
    B) Once all is good, Print and Submit the nicer preview version, not the
messier form version. (Even without the preview widget in place, the print
and submit seem a bit funny, the submit button is first (left) the print is
second leading folks to click submit and then they are not able to print.
How about ONE button that says "Print and Submit" which does both. After
printing you land at Thank You.
here you EITHER preview OR print. After preview you can only submit...print
does not show at that point.
No email and no way to print
this is without the preview widget installed...out of order and confusing.
    Thanks for your help!
