PS:  tried to ask this question on my mobile phone...it didn't work.  The form was cut in half and I couldn't see the text area or the submit button. Jot forms are not good on mobile devices :(

Sorry to hear about your troubles filling out the form on your mobile phone. Please try enabling the mobile responsive option for the form that is not looking / working nicely on your mobile device:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/311-How-to-make-Forms-Mobile-Responsive

If you are still having issues with your form even after enabling this option, please let us know which form you are having the issue with, and on which device it is not displaying correctly, and we will be happy to help. Thank you.

A while back a fellow jotforms rep. told me to add the mobile response widget to make my forms work on mobile devices. A lot of clients say they can't make my forms work for them, and another jotter said sometimes too many widgets cause the form not to work in older brosers.

If I check the Yes box in the preferences section ad advised,  do I even need a mobile widget?

If you check yes in preferences, you do not need the mobile widget. So please go ahead and remove it and let us know should the problem continue.
