Adding 'pdf-link' on Thank you page. What will it do?

I came across this feature in the 'edit Thank you page', {pdf link}

Want to know what is it about, and  can I add a link to pdfs based on the logics I put. ?

It will let your users download the submission as a PDF file. Here's what the Thank You page will looks like:
