Is there a way to put my data from SQL Server into a JotForm ?Asked by Michael Schneider on January 14, 2016 at 09:21 AM
I plan on pushing the data from JotForm to my asp.net website page that will collect the data and store it in SQL Server database. In the future, I'd like to retrieve that data from SQL Server and put in into a JotForm that will be embedded into one of my pages so a user can just edit the form data and not retype everything again.
If there is something I'm missing, please let me know.
If you want to export data to your JotForm form as existing submissions, then that is possible by exporting first your database as an excel file. Then you can use this app: http://apps.jotform.com/app/import_data
If you are familiar with APIs, then you can use our API to submit a form without actually opening the form and clicking the submit button. In your case, you can create a script to load all your data in your database and use the API to submit those data directly in your form. Here's the API documentation specific to that: http://api.jotform.com/docs/#post-form-id-submissions
I hope that helps.
