We are using PayPal Pro and the Pay Pal payment function is working properly.  However when we test the credit card option, we receive the following error message:

Invalid Configuration. This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration.

Not sure what we may have done wrong in the setup.  After setup we did get a confirmation stating "Integration Successful".

    Advice please?  Thanks!

    Here are some posible reasons:

If you are using Paypal Pro, please make sure you have accepted the merchant agreement in your Paypal Account after your Pro Account has been approved.

The account automatically got restriction placed on it, and did not enable the Website Payments Pro DoDirectPayment API. If you can't activate it, you should ask the Paypal admin for activition for the website payments on your account.

    Hope this help.

Taken from the list of Paypal's API Error Codes, below is the reason for that error:

    Invalid Configuration
This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration.
Occurs when the billing agreement is disabled or inactive.

Please log in to your Paypal account then accept the billing agreement for merchant accounts. If you're having difficulties with this, kindly contact Paypal support for proper assistance. Thank you!

After spending a significant amount of time with Pay Pal customer service, they confirm everything is perfect with our Pay Pal Pro account. Including API integration was successful and should be accepting payments from users without Pay Pal accounts  (Ie., credit cards)  They say the problem is with the Jot Form Link.  We also have the issue that we can't get the form to show up with a scroll bar on the right side of it, or in a window that can be exoanded by the user.  We're now thinking both issues might have something to do with something we've done wrong...... Help

Let me pass this on to the development team.  They will respond to this thread if in case they'll need more information about your issue or if this issue has been resolved.

I'm not sure about your other (scroll bar) concern.  But since the other concern is not related to this thread, please do create a new post with the details about your scroll bar issue.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thanks...... I already have a separate thread going on for the scroll bar issue, (but have not heard back on my latest plea for 3 hours now).  I'll keep this one dedicated to my credit card issue..... Thanks again

This happen when you have not accepted the PayPal Website Payments Pro agreement in your PayPal account. I know you have spoken with the PayPal representetive, but this error message only and only happens when PayPal have not activated your account.

Check out your PayPal Get Started summary screen. Does it only shows Virtual Terminal. Does it have anything about PayPal Website Payments Pro?
