Merging Fields to Google Calendar VIA Zapier

    Hello,

I have some questions regarding trying to Zapier my form into Google Calendar.  Initially I was using the Date Picker Widget on my form, and for the time selection I was using a drop down box with two options (9AM or 2PM).  When I would try to zap the form it wasn't reading the date, so I am wondering whether there is an issue with trying to send the data from a form widget.  Also, it didn't seem as if the drop down box for the time was working either.

I went ahead and changed the Date Picker widget to the Standard JotForm Date/Time Field and instead of a drop down for the time I used radio buttons and the Zapier sync to Google Calendar worked.  The only problem is that I don't like the way the Date/Time or the radio buttons look on the form.  I would like to use the Date Picker Widget and the drop down box for the time selection, but I'm not sure if there is some issue with the widget and drop down not having outputs compatible with Zapier integrations.

Also, I had a field called Phone Number on the form, and even through my last submission had a phone number in it, the output is showing "NA", and it pulled N/A through Zapier and into Google Calendar.  Any ideas on this one?

Finally, is there any way to pull data from the "Preview Before Submit" widget into Zapier so I can see the details in my Google Calendar?  I would like to pull the preview as it is shown in the form (without empty fields and without the HTML and text fields).  If this is not possible, is there a way to pull only the fields that have been filled out into Google Calendar via Zapier (i.e. no empty fields)?

I would appreciate your help with this.  Thank You!

OK, i figured out a work around with the Date and Time widgets.  I used conditional logic to copy the answers from the Date Picker Widget and the Drop Down Field (which were the fields I wanted on my form, but that were not playing nice with Zapier) and had their values copied to a basic text field.  Zapier doesn't seem to have any issues with basic text fields, so it worked.

Also, I'm not sure what I did with the basic text field I was using to collect the phone number information, but I replaced it with another text field and named it "Phone Number" again, matched the field up with Zapier and it seems to work now, but I have no idea why.

Seems like the Zapier integration is a little finicky (certain fields may or may not sync based on certain conditions of the field or of JotForm).

The only question I have at this point still is how can I pull a "Only Filled Fields" summary into the description area of Google Calendar via Zapier?  I know that I can put a link to the PDF file by using this (https://submit.jotformpro.com/server.php?action=getSubmissionPDF&sid={ID}&formID=60110529691148), but it requires having to download the file each time, and I would prefer to have a quick "At A Glance" view of all of the entered selections from the form.

    Thank You!

    Hi there,

For the widgets, Zapier integration couldn't get the values from them, because they have an independent structure with iFrame. So, your solution with additional text box fields is the correct one for this case.

In addition, there is no way to use "Preview Before Submit" widget into Zapier. The integration only sent the necessary values to the Zapier, so filtering the data is only on it not from JotForm. However, you can easily hide the unfilled fields on "Preview Before Submit" widget by following the steps from the below:

Alternatively, you can make all of the fields requirement as "Required" to beat the empty field problem. So to submit a form, the user force to fill all of the fields. Apart from that, there is no solution for this one, if we are talking about the values on Zapier.

    Thanks.
