sorry, I hit send before I asked.
I would like to build a form where people can set up a recurring donation - we do have this option via authorize.net but not sure if I can build a form to do this.

No worries :)
You can setup a recurring payment in your form by following this guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/166-How-to-setup-a-recurring-payment-option
If you want to have a custom amount, you can enable the "Variable Price" option, it doesn't show how in the guide as this is a new feature, but rest assure that we will update that guide.
After saving, when you open the payment integration again and edit the subscription, you'll notice that the "Price Source" option is now available.
The "Price Source" is similar to this guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/275-How-to-pass-a-calculation-to-a-payment-field. It allows you to pass a calculated a value using the form calculation widget as the source.
I hope that helps.

That is fabulous. Can you tell me how I can have 2 options:
A one time donation
or
A monthly donation

Hi,
Unfortunately it is not possible to combine one time donations and monthly subscriptions on the same payment tool.
A possible option would be to use the workaround found here: How to Create a Basic Multiple Payment form You will be using conditions to enable the user to select which option they prefer (one time donation or monthly donation).
Let us know if you need further assistance,
Regards. -

You'll need to input a value even if the "Variable Price" is checked. You can add "0" instead.
For the other concern you have, you can setup 2 subscriptions where user can only select one.
The first subscription is for monthly, here's a screenshot how mine is setup:
My subscription 2 is a one time payment, noticed that the "Number of Payments" is set to "No Limit" and the Subscription Period is set to "Daily".
You can see how it looks like here: https://form.jotform.com/60205034717951. Basically, one time payment can be setup as long as the "Number of Payments" is set to "1".
I hope that helps.
