How to have Submission data in FDF format

On my current website I have a form that when submitted sends the information to me in a FDF format so that I can directly import into our PDF Application to print. I'm in the process of moving to a web service (3DCart) that does not allow PHP coding (what the current form is coded in). Can you help me out in trying to figure out a way to do this?

    Hi,

    Thank you for contacting us.

You can easily create a PDF form by following this guide : http://www.jotform.com/help/212-How-to-Create-a-PDF-Form

Then, you will get a PDF file with the fields and then it can be submitted.

Also, I would like to share you this link, you will find all the info related to PDF forms : http://www.jotform.com/help/312-Fillable-PDF-Everything-you-need-to-know-about-JotForm-Fillable-PDF-Creator

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

Is there a way to send the webform's input in FDF format?

Yes, you can include a PDF file with the submission data in the email notification as well as in autoresponders.

You will find the link of the PDF file on the left side, when editing an email template:

Then, you and your submitter will receive the link to the PDF file.

You may also download the PDF and send it via email, to download it just click on Get PDF, on the submissions view page:

I understand PDF ... but I'm looking for FDF because the information needs to be put into our premade fillable application.

I don't have the application fillable online as it doesn't work in all browsers and we were getting too many confused people.

Thank you for the clarification. From what I understand now, the FDF format you mentioned was actually the text format  used by Adobe Acrobat PDF Forms.

    search link: http://whatis.techtarget.com/fileformat/FDF-Forms-Document-Adobe-Acrobat

... the information needs to be put into our premade fillable application

currently, there is no option/feature to make the submission output data in FDF format in JotForm. BUT there is a way to make the data in text format instead.

You can get the submission data in CSV format which is also a text format.

    Check this user guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/103-How-to-create-a-CSV-Report

Perhaps your existing application can use the text file (CSV format) to import the data and prefill the FDF form.

Let us know how we can be of further assistance.
