    Unique ID Doesn't Show in Email Notifications

    Hi there,

    According to my checks, the "Unique ID" widget is "Ticket Number" in your case and it seems that its value can be seen on the notification email. Please, see it from the below:

     

    Could you please check it again and let us know?

    Sorry I was meaning the email that the person who entered the submission gets. Those email include tickets.

    I added the ticket number after the current submissions were entered. Could this be the reason? Maybe I should do a test submission to see if that works?

    If you edit the form that will not affect previous received submissions/emails. 

    I made a test submission and the ticket number was displayed:

    Is it possible to get the ticket number on previous submissions? The ticket number was added after those submissions.

    When I edit any submission some info has to be re entered. Like dates etc. Is this normal? When editing I don't know the dates that people entered.

    Unfortunately, when you add the Unique ID (Ticket number in your case), it will only be implemented on new submissions.

    You can manually add the ticket number on your existing submission by editing it in your submissions page. However, please note that you might need to take note on the current index of your Unique ID widget, manually adding the ticket number value might break the "Unique ID" widget if existing ticket number already exist.

    In my case, this is how I did it:

    1. First, I adjusted the current index of the Unique ID widget, I can't leave it as "0" because I want to add manually "MID-1" on my existing submission.

    2. I then opened my submission in edit mode in the submissions page. I added "MID-1" and hit the submit button.

    3. Please note that all of the email notifications will resend after editing the submission. 

     

    If you are continuously editing the form, especially the form field names, then it might cause you problems like when in edit mode. I strongly suggest to first finalize the form before putting it on live.

    You can also clone your form to make a copy of it and make different versions. The problem is that when you are editing a form that already has an existing submission, data might be lost or might cause problems on the edit mode.
