EU Safe Forms: Can we use old form links?Asked by fingerprintedprints on January 25, 2016 at 06:25 AM
If I transfer my data to the European server will I have to change the urls of my forms I already have. I have hundreds of forms I use in my ebay shop & I simply would not have the time to change all of my links.
Is it necessary to change to the EU servers, what would happen if I did nothing?
Thank you for contacting us.
No, you will not need to change the form links once you move the data to the EU zone. The old links will be still active.
As far as I understand, we are required to store the EU data in EU zone. It means that we will have to automatically move our EU users to the EU zone in the nearest time (by the end of the January 2016).
If you need any further assistance, please let us know.
Thanks for your reply Mike.
Can you 100% guarantee that my links will still function correctly if I transfer my data to Europe.
It really would a massive nightmare if I were to change over and the links do not work?
I read a thread (blink below) and I am a little confused by the reply.
Thanks ... Lee
We do not expect to ask our users to change any form links or code.
However, you will need to use the next domain to manage your forms and data.
The transfer is optional at this time, so you can wait for the data transfer by our Backend Team.
I would like to add that our technicians have confirmed that all the links and code will stay untouched, so this is safe to proceed with the transfer.
Also, you (as a EU Safe Forms user) will be automatically redirected to the https://eu.jotform.com/ domain upon login at JotForm.
