How to make the uploaded image smaller than its original size?

how do I make it so that the image I am requiring them to upload isn't so big. I just want it smaller

Unfortunately, we don't have a tool that would do that. You have to advise your users to edit the image before uploading it in the form. Otherwise, you'll get the original big size.
