How does JotForm work? Does it create a plugin to go on a page, or does it create custom forms that have their own domains are accessed via link.

I'm just trying to figure out how it will work. A client of mine wants me to create several forms for them, but the platform I'm using www.websitebuilder.com isn't very flexible. So it will probably be best if I can create forms that have their own url/domains and can be accessed via link (though it would be nice to have the flexibility to embed the form in a different page just in case I figure out a way to make it work).

You can create the forms in the JotForm builder for your clients. http://www.jotform.com/

If you want to use your domain for your form URL, follow this guide: http://www.jotform.com/help/144-How-to-use-Custom-Domains-with-Jotform.

Furthermore, embedding JotForm to your website is easy peasy. Here's how: http://www.jotform.com/help/34-Adding-a-Form-to-a-Web-Page
