Two reports of a DoB field not working despite being completed, password protected PDF

    We are collecting applications for our scholarship program and have run into a couple of problems. One is with a password protected PDF that we are unable to open. Is this something JotForm has encountered in the past? Or is it possibly an issue on the student's side?

    Also, we have had a couple of students who have been unable to submit due to an error in the DoB field on the application. We have had them fill out PDF versions of the form as a work-around, but wanted to know if JotForm was aware of this issue and/or if there is anything we can do about it in order to ensure future applicants don't run into this problem. Any assistance you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Can you please call the Jot Form support team and check on this?  This is the second message I have indicating that there is a problem with the birthdate.

    Please let me know as soon as you hear something.

    Mrs. Jennings:

    My name is Lucas McDuff, and I have been attempting to electronically file my application for the 2016 Board of Directors Scholarship.  After I complete, sign and submit the application, it bounces back to me and indicates my birthdate must be completed (despite the fact that it was completed).  It directs me back to the application for correction; however, when I attempt to go back and correct, all of my information has been erased.  This has happened several times so I do not know whether you have actually received my application or not.  Could you let me know if you have it?  If you do not, I will need to mail it by tomorrow.

    I am attaching my resume, essay and letters of recommendation to this email to be sure you are in receipt of them.

    Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    Sorry for the inconvenience. I have just cloned your form and send a couple of test submissions. I was not able to replicate the issue once I had filled in the form properly. If you are still having issues, please let us know. We will be glad to take another look.

    In regards, to your other issue with PDFs. I have created a new thread that will be answered shortly by our support team
