Do we need to configure layout of a PDF for each form?

I found this to not be satisfactory at all... All it does is make the table we usually receive a little bit wider, it doesn't keep the same format as the form...

On top of that, I couldn't save the PDF as a template for future submissions. Do we need to configure the PDF everytime we get a new submission?

UPDATE: We are excited to announce that we have just released the new version of JotForm PDF Editor.

Please do note that PDF designer is one of the newer features so it is likely to be worked upon a bit more in future, but it should allow for custom layout to be created as well as to add colors and similar to the same.

As such it allows custom layouts to be created, but please do note that the layout is set on one submissions, but is the same layout that you will be receiving for all submissions from that point (when the layout is saved) on.

The only reason why the submitted data is shown to you is to allow you to see how it would look with real data right away and to allow you to easily exclude or re-arrange things on the PDF.

Now when you clone a form, you can save your designed PDF as a template. Also when you clone a form, its PDF design will be also cloned. And we now have over 100 PDF templates that you can apply to PDF of your submissions!
