Can't switch between touch screen and mouse for signature in Windows 10

We have a signature on our form.  The form is used primarily with a Windows 10 tablet with a keyboard (HP Spectre).  If someone touches the signature area with their mouse, they can't switch to touchscreen.  The signature won't show.  Clearing the signature area does not reset this so that the touch screen can be used.  The same happens the other way - if they start with the touch screen in the signature area, they can't switch to a mouse (not that they would want to, but thought that info might lend a clue.

We've tried both the E-Signature widget and the Smooth Signature widget.  They both do this.

I also tested the form on my touchscreen Windows 10 laptop. I was able to confirm that the signature cannot be switched to the touchscreen when the widget is filled with the mouse and vice versa. However, refreshing the page will fix the issue and allow you to use the touchscreen or mouse again.
