I want to separate customers from one form by having them choose 'school' or 'business'. I already have two existing lists for schools and businesses, but is there any way in a new form i can put customers into two different lists, or can this only be one list with different groups within it? Thanks!
Apologies, I am not quite sure if I understand your concern correctly. Could you please provide us more information on how your form works, you can also share us the form you are working on. I checked your email you used here but there's no JotForm account registered on it.
What list are you referring to? Are you referring to a email campaign service like MailChimp? You can check the list of 3rd party email services that you can integrate with our forms on this page: http://apps.jotform.com/category/emailling

Sorry for the confusion Charlie! Here's an image to show you the form. The dropdown with the 2 school options and the business option is currently putting leads into one list, and the 3 options are groups within that list. What I'm wanting to know is; Is there any way I can have the businesses go into a completely different unrelated list (not in the same one as the schools)?
It depends on the 3rd party app that you are integrating to your form.
In MailChimp, you can only select one list in the integration wizard.
That only way that I can see this possible is to have separate forms.
Form 1 : It has a drop down field that has 3 options associated to 3 lists where you want them to be added.
When Form 1 is filled out, it will redirect the user to 3 different forms depending on the option selected in the drop down list.
Form 2 - Integrated to MailChimp where Subscription List 1 is selected
Form 3 - Integrated to MailChimp where Subscription List 2 is selected
Form 4 - Integrated to MailChimp where Subscription List 3 is selected
