Entry form and data search engineAsked by Tenir_Promesse on February 06, 2016 at 05:18 PM
As you will find out, I am not a nerd in this. I would like to make a data base. I would like people to be able to fill a form with informations that other user could search and get a result in a match. Is it possible? if so how?. Thank you.
Our forms do provide you with an easy way to collect information as form submissions / responses. However, turning it into a searchable database of all the collected information is not possible by use of JotForm alone - you may even need to hire a developer to help you with the part about searchable database that is publicly accessible.
You as a form owner can always search through your submissions directly from the submissions page:
This feature is specific you as the account owner - others can't access and search through your submissions.
In order to achieve what you are looking for, after creating your easy form for collecting the data, you can pass collected data to your own website and database by following one of our guides such as this one: How to send Submissions to Your MySQL Database Using PHP.
What you can achieve with the tools JotForm has in its arsenal will not provide you with a searchable database for your users, but you can provide them with a a HTML Table Report of your submissions that they can scroll through.
I hope this helps.
