As I understand, you want to put a link on your form that redirects to your website. If the answer is yes, then please use the "Text" tool in order to insert a link. Here's a screencast:

Thank you for getting back to me but doing it like that just goes to an
internal www.jotform/mywebsitename. It doesn't go to my website externally
not even if I try with Google. It just goes to an oops page from jotform
saying the page couldn't be found
You need to add the URL, for example, if you just add google.com, you will receive the message indicating that the page could not be found, you need to add the URL like this: https://www.google.com.
It should work, I would suggest you to load the URL on your web browser and then copy and paste it in the link field on your form.
