Formatted email automatically sent to submitter when submit is activated

    Hi there,

My form is an entry form for a singing competition. I have gone to a lot of trouble to be able to allow competitors to be able to print a concise layout of their entry form before they submit.  Because there are 48 classes they can enter, I have doubled up on class fields entered and hidden those which do not have entries so that the print lists only the classes they have entered. This is activated by a "Print Summary Only" radio button.

Is it possible for me to be able to filter out fields and include only the fields that have been completed in an automatic email that gets sent to both me and the submitter when they submit? This might enable me to reduce the size of my form and the calculations and remove the need for folk to print their own summary.

I would want to filter out some hidden fields (that exist for calculation purposes) and of course any fields that are not completed. Fields such as the Music Type fields would be included only if a song name is entered for that class type.

I think this is possible. I just need a wee hand to understand how to effect this.

    Many thanks,

    Peter

It is indeed possible to hide empty field in the default notification or autoresponder.  here is our guide on how to do so:

    Many thanks David,

yes, I found a couple of references and had a go myself and am almost there I think.

There will be a few more questions yet I imagine, but I am thrilled to have achieved the things in my form so far.

    Absolutely brilliant tools and support.
