Text boxes should accept a dash as an acceptable character

My form is a singing competition entry form.

In it, I have text boxes that require folk to enter their name.

Surnames these days are very often hyphenated, so text boxes should allow a hyphen (dash) in a name.

For some reason, mine don't allow a dash...

Can this be fixed? I assume it is in the back-end and not a fault in my form.

    cheers,

    Peter

Forget this. I have found the validation property and if I change it to none, the dash is accepted.

    Sorry for the posting.

Seems like you already figured it out by setting its validation to "none":
