Form builder is a part of form-creating tool that allows you to quickly add the fields, to change their properties, to change some simple styling options through the properties and field positioning. Whereas Form Designer is designed to change the styling of the form completely by changing the options for each form element or by using interactive CSS tab. Once a theme is applied from the Form Designer, it takes over the control of the design of the form and you can preview the form from the designer itself by clicking on Preview Form button on the left top corner.
Hope this information helps!

Hi Kiran
Thanks for your clarification...but I am not clear with your last sentence..."Once a theme is applied from the Form Designer, it takes over the control of the design of the form....." when you are referring to "it takes over" do you mean Form Builder takes over or Form Designer takes over???

I mean to say that the Form Designer is given the priority when a theme is applied.
Hope this information helps!

Hi
Thanks for your clarification. So once we applied the theme Form Designer takes over. So what ever style or formatting I do on the form in Form Designer my final view of my form is what I see in Designer. So I will not bother about builder anymore except when I need to publish.
Thanks alot

That's right, so we recommend using the form designer if you want to make changes in your form design or styles. Otherwise, you can stay on the form builder if you want to stay with the default theme.
Have a good one!
