    Hi there,

Is there a way to ensure that autorespond emails are sent after form edits, and not only new form submissions? I am using gmail as the user email and I was not able to find an update email in my spam box.

I think you handled the DNS problem well and I wish the best for your company.

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Sam,

Autoresponders only work for new submissionss. Only notifications are triggered for user-initiated form edits. That is the way it is designed.

    Here's a workaround instead:

    1.  Create a new notification that will serve as an autoresponder Setup & Embed > Email Alerts > Add New Email > Notification Email
    2.  In the Compose Email screen, find and copy the placeholder for your form's email field. For example: {email1}

    3.  Click Reply-To and Recipient Settings button
    4.  Paste the email placeholder in the Recipient E-mail for your new notification
    5.  Complete the notification setup

    Hi Neil,

Thanks for getting back to me and giving your advice. Unfortunately it looks like the Recipient E-mail text box on the notification setup page will only accept strings formatted as email addresses. I tried copying the placeholder, {email5}, but got the error message 'E-mail address should be valid.' Unless there is some way around this, I'll look into using third-party software for autosending emails.

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Sam,

Click Finish instead of Next to bypass the email validation. Let me know if you're still experiencing any problems.

    Neil,

This appears to work! Thanks a lot!

EDIT: By the way, in case anyone else is interested in doing this, there are not many options for Sender Name and Sender Email. So in order to send the notification from a certain name at a certain email address, just put two hidden fields in your form, one with the name and one with the email address. Then select these hidden fields for Sender Name and Email on the notification setup page.
