    Hello,

I have a order total field that is not translating correctly to the auto responder email.  The value on the form is correct, but when I try to add it to the email, the value is less.

    Thank you,

    Sabrina

    Hello Sabrina,

May we know if you have tried recreating your autoresponder? If not, I suggest doing so. Just delete the existing autoresponder and create one again. Whatever values on the form should exactly be the value on the autoresponder.

If recreating doesn't help, please indicate an example value that is correct on the form and that is not correct on the autoresponder so we can further investigate. Also, may we know which of the fields that are not getting the correct value on autoresponder? You seem to have few total calculations in your form.

I have tried recreating the auto responder a few times and now no value shows up.

It is the TOTAL field that is not being displayed on the auto responder.  The field on the form is calculating correctly, but when I try to add it to my auto responder no value is displayed.  Can you help me out?

    Total to be billed: ${total560}

This is also true on the submission PDF and grid.  The subtotal and total fields are blank, but the delivery charge is showing properly.

The issue had to do with the Conditions that Hide fields and the Settings/Preferrences that Clears Hidden Field values.

    and

    To correct:

Set Preferences settings to Don't Clear

Let us know if this still did not work.

It is still not working.  Well rarely it is an 90% of the time it is not.  I have set the clear hidden field values to don't clear and it did not fix the issue.

Also, when i hit place order, i see the order subtotal and total field clear to 0. But the delivery charge fee stays the correct value.

Can you replace the Total field with the Form Calculation widget instead.

Check image below on how to:

then, just add/use the widget data into your Autoresponder E-mail.

I made a test submission using my test form   https://form.jotform.com/60518763584969

when I checked on the auto email the Total Amount (Calculation widget) works better compared to the Total field that uses the Conditions

You can test the test form https://form.jotform.com/60518763584969 . Provide your actual email so that you can receive the Autoresponder.

Let us know if my suggested fix will not work for you.

    Thanks.

It is still not working.  The delivery charge is the only charge that will calculate and be displayed.

I need the total to ADD the delivery charge and the subtotal together.  It sees the subtotal as 0 and adds it to the delivery charge.

I have been getting the auto responder emails all along.

I am not sure what happened. The calculations used to work and appear on the form.  Ugh.

I found these errors in your form.

Please correct them and try to follow the advice provided by my colleague Jonathan above, calculating the values in the Form Calculation widget you will avoid to get 0 values, if you would like to use the conditions to achieve it, insert the result into a text field and then add the text field into the Form Calculation widget, so the widget always will have a value and will not be reset to 0 when you submit the form.

oops.  i replaced those fields with the widget fields.  i fixed the errors.

when i fill out the form all the calculations are correct.  but when I click the place order button.  i see the subtotal value disappear as the form is processing.  the delivery charge value remains.

sorry I'm a bit confused with the conditions versus the calculation widget.

should i get rid of all my conditions that calculate a fields value and switch those to the widget?

I did check your form again, this is what I found.

First, in the subtotal field, as it's a Form Calculation widget, you have added all the items as should be.

At the same time, you are using conditions to add the value to the same widget.

I would suggest you to use only the widget method, I mean, disable the conditions.

In regards to the items, I see that you are inserting the value using conditions as well.

And the widget is currently looking like this, it will generate issues when trying to calculate the total value.

I would suggest you to disable each condition that you are using to calculate the value and do it in the widget instead, as shown in the image below.

After doing that, you should get the proper sub-total value.

ok, i certainly can try that.  However the issue is not the value.  currently the value/calculation/math is correct.

the issue is that the values do not show up on the submission or the auto responder emails.  i'll delete the conditions and try that.
