Auto number generation for each entry on the form

Hi all -

So I have connected a Jot Form to a Google sheet. Is there a way I can include a Hidden field on the form which automatically generates a unique ID or value that can then be stored as a column on the sheet? Or should I use the sheet's internal trigger to figure that out?
