Populating a calendar with a drop down option

Hi - 

i'm creating a sign up form - once participants select their session - is there a way to have this option added to their calendar??

I think that it could not be possible, because the date field does not work on the same manner than other fields, so I did some tests and I can not find a way to populate the date field, the only way is populating one date field with a value from other date field.
