How can I remove the payment processing fee if my subtotal is above $0

Asked by ABWAHumble on February 29, 2016 at 10:44 AM

I have a registration form that allows you to choose to pay at the door of the venue.  We use this for RSVP purposes so we can give an accurate count to the event place.  I have the payment processing fee setup as a one time shipping charge currently which works great when people are paying online but it is still trying to charge $3.00 to people who have requested to pay at the door which is not good.  Please assist.  Thank you.

I see that you have another thread opened today: http://www.jotform.com/answers/783581 which seems to be related to this.

I would suggest keeping things in one thread instead of in two if the intent is to cover the same subject.

Now on the page you have shared I see the following form https://form.jotform.com/form/60416623888160 being embedded using the js embed code.

Looking at what you have mentioned and the setup, I see what happens. Please do note however that for processing / shipping you can either charge per transaction or per item. If you charge per item, $3 could end up much more than $3 (for example if you select multiple options). On the other side, if you include the free options in such manner, you will not be able to avoid the +$3 USD.

The only way to do this, would be to take the free products and place them into the checkbox field under the payment tool (or above it if you prefer), allowing them to select the free options present, with the options that need to be charged for actually get charged for.

If you wish to keep the present setup, then the only option would be to use the Coupons that are applied to the free options only in the amount of the processing fees.
