How can I automate the change of the subject line for each new submission?

Every time someone submits the form, I'd like the subject line to change to include which submission # this is, to make searching for submissions in my email easier, and ensure they don't appear on the same thread. Is there a way to do this? I don't want to turn off the threads on my gmail, but I'd like each new submission to come through as a new thread.
