Conditional logic: Radio Button widget, Matrix fields, and other widgets are grayed when adding IF rule/statement

I'm having the exact same issue with my form whereby when it was created (several months ago), everything worked as it should and now, several necessary fields are grayed out and not select-able as I attempt to fix the issue.

Can someone please indicate what's being done to prevent this from continuing to happen and if there's a fix in the works.

    Thanks!

I checked your form "http://www.jotform.us/form/60615327474153", and I can see many fields are greyed out:

I will report this to our second level, you will be notified via this thread about any updates.

Ok, so I would like my form to be progressive like it was when I initially built it. I have no idea how or when it changed but it is now no longer progressive. By progressive I mean client indicates the type of order (from the 3 options listed below). Based on the selection made, the next set of questions will appear.

EXAMPLE: Client selects option 1, Print (Includes custom print orders and photobooks).

    1. The ONLY thing that should be displayed next is the PRINTS field/section.

    2. Only AFTER the client makes a selection from the PRINTS section, should the section related to that be displayed. For this example, the client selects PACKAGE 3.

      a. Please note that ALL of the print packages show until the selection is made which is not what is intended. The only package that should show in the progression is that which has been indicated in the radio button from the PRINTS section.

    3. This is true for the remaining 2 radio buttons in the TYPE OF ORDER section.

      a.  If the client selects option 2, Print (Includes custom print orders and photobooks) & Digital the next 2 sections that should be displayed are Prints and Digitals.

      b. If the client selects option 3, Digital ONLY, the next section that should be displayed in the progression is Digitals.

First of all, I see that you have some errors in your conditions, there are some fields that you have deleted and this could be generating conflict between the conditions, please fix that conditions.

Conditional logic: Radio Button widget, Matrix fields, and other widgets are grayed when adding IF rule/statement Image 1 Screenshot 30

Those fields that are grayed in the conditions, only can not be used to trigger a condition/action, but they can be handled with the actions triggered by other fields.

I have cloned your form and fixed the conditions, it is working now, take a look to it on this link: https://form.jotform.com/60625076206956

Only this option that I do not know how to show it, based on what field:

    Photobooks {20 Page book w/15 to 20 Images}.

But other conditions are working as you explained, feel free to clone and test my form.

Do let us know if that form is working as you need.

Ok, this seems to be more of what I was shooting for.

PLEASE NOTE: I already know HOW to clone a form. That being said, WHERE is the back end of the clone you made? I do not see it listed in MY FORMS list.

    Thank you!

Yes, based on your explanation it seems to be working as you need, you need to use this link to clone my form: https://form.jotform.com/60625076206956

Once you have cloned it, will appear in your forms.

Ok, the form looks great...FINALLY! And I believe I've discovered the flaw that was causing so much trouble in my form. I had used { } in several descriptions of my fields. Once I changed ALL the curly brackets to parenthesis, the problems were resolved!

I would like to make a suggestion...it would be incredibly helpful if the developers add the condition number to show you which condition in the list that you're currently editing. As it is right now, you have NO clue what number this condition is in the list.

Thank you once again for helping me figure out my form!!

One last question, is there logic behind the order of conditions that are listed because it doesn't totally make sense to me the way they are listed. Just curious for future reference.

First of all, great to know that your form is working now, seems like there was a conflict in the conditions and this is why they were not working as expected.

Your suggestion has been moved to this thread: http://www.jotform.com/answers/786859

We will let our developers know about your request on that thread.

Regarding to your last question, no, does not matter the order of the conditions, they should work as expected, you do not need to change the order that you add the conditions to your form.
