To add a "Unique ID" value to your email submission, you need to add its "ID" to your "Notification"'s email template. Please, see it from the below:
Secondly, you need to enable that field in "Submissions" to see its value on printed copy of submission. After accessing the "Submissions", please follow the steps from the below:

Hi, thanks for that. Those were already on by default. I can already see the Unique ID on the email version, but not the print version.
At the bottom of the form, I have the Submit button and the Print button. My client needs the Unique ID to be visible after printing, not just the email.

That field is hidden on the form, but you can show its value to the user on a form Thank You Page:
Since the ID is not generated until the form is submitted, it is not possible to show the ID prior to completing the submission.

Is there any way around this, so I can provide this for my client? He needs a unique ID generated on the signed form and to be able to print a copy on submission.

Unfortunately, you can't directly show the "Unique ID" on your form; but if you want to show it to your users, you can add it in "Autoresponder" by following the same way with the "Notification".
Please, see it from the below:
Also, you can let them print their submission by adding the link of the PDF version of submission, so they able to print copy of their submissions with the "Unique ID". Please, follow the steps to add PDF link to your confirmation (Autoresponder) email:
I hope this one will meet your needs. For further assistance, we are always here to help you.
Thanks.
