Payment form feature request: Other Product (fill in amount) option

    The payment form is great; there's a feature several clients need. With donations, for example, we use

    1. $100

    2. $50

    3. Would like: Other: (fill in amount)

    Can that be done now? If so, how? If not, please consider adding it.

    Has this feature been implemented? If yes, then how is it done? Many thanks for your great product and fast replies.

    Hi,

    This feature is now available using the donation option in the Paypal Payment Wizard. When you choose "Collect Donations" a textbox field is used for amount property instead of a dropdown, so users are able to fill in the amount they'd want to donate.

    Hope you find this information helpful.

    This was a great addition to PayPal forms. I have an additional feature request. Can we get an "other" field if using the multiple products option? We have a candidate running for office requesting donations, like "Platinum: $2,500" and "Gold: $1,500" and so on. We'd like to add an "other" so the donor can choose his/her own amount. Is that possible as a future feature?

    Thanks again,

    Sue

    Can there be a donation option (where the user enters their own amount) on the same form with a multiple items form (where the prices are designated and the user selects the quantity)?

    has this feature been developed?  We would like to have the option to offer fixed price tickets to an event with the quantity variable and then offer an additional donation amount that the donor could choose to fill out himself.

    I re-second this request. Combing fixed prices with an "other" field is what many of our clients want. Do you have any implementation date for this feature? Thanks again for a great product!

    @techtriadinc  AND  @crossroadsjerusalem

    I am submitting a new ticket with your request

    As a sort of  temp workaround, I would suggest you to setup Paypal with "User can select multiple products" and then add a donation field , set the price to 1 and then add a quantity option . You can add as many options as you want, it will be multiplied by 1. See screenshot below:

    Cheers!

    Has this option been added yet?  To be able to have a few fixed amounts AND an option where the buyer can put in a variable amount?  Please let me know asap.  Thank you!  : )

    @BGGRAPHICS

    No, that is not possible yet. You can let your form user to enter a custom amount of money by using Donation mode as explained by NeilVicente, but not in the forms where you sell products.

    I would recommend you to open a new ticket if you further assistance with this inquiry as this thread is very outdated, that will allow us to assist you better.

    Thanks
