How can I populate a date field with today's date?

Hello:

I cannot seem to find how to auto-populate date field on a form with current system date. Can I have some help please? Right now my form does not have a date field. I tried to insert one and hide it, so that I can use it on the donor's receipt. However, it appears that the user has to enter a date manually and no way to have it entered automatically.

The DateTime field has an option to use the current date. You just need to select the DateTime field and then click the "Default Date" option and choose "Current Date". After that, you can hide the field.
