A question I entered a few minutes ago seems to be treated as "private". I did not intend it to be private. Can I convert it to public?

We can make a thread private or public by editing it. Let us know the thread URL or the title and we'll make the thread public. Thank you.

I did not intend to make it private, but I've not been ableto find ir in the public part.

The thread you are referring to is not private actually. What do you mean please by 'I've not been ableto find ir in the public part' ?

Yes, seems like the thread is not private now, so you should able to view all the replies there.
Do let us know if you are still unable to see the replies.

According to what JotForm Support Manager Jeanette said regarding the newly implemented Forum Policy on this thread:
Our devs made a script to prevent spammers to show forum post, they will be shown once a support rep. answers the thread, this is a general rule and it applies to everybody.
Based on this, your post will be visible only after a support replies to it. But when you or any other user replies to the same thread, it will be hidden from the visible forum posts, i.e., your forum thread will be visible if it was last-touched (replied to) by a support staff.
Hope this clarifies everything.

There seems to be a glitch because my replies are visible in the forum page.

Thanks, that explains the situation. I think it is unfortunate, since JotForm have stated elsewhere that the advantage of a thread being public is that other users might reply before the message is seen by JotForm staff. Also, if a reply from the originor another member hides the thread again it could be very annoying.

This was implemented to make sure that our users won't be bothered by spammers. We are actually getting a lot of spams, our developers are doing their best to improve our security, however, some or other spam messages are done manually. Spammers register an account to us then flood the forum with a lot of spam posts. They also reply to other users using spam messages. These spammers are quite persistent so our management have come to a solution to only show the thread post once a support staff have handled it, not necessarily the support staff needs to post a reply, he/she just needs to view the latest reply, if it is clean then the thread post will be publicly viewed. Also, even though they are not shown in the forum, you can still access the direct link and view your questions. Rest assure that your questions will not be ignored and we make sure that you will get the response needed, not a spam :)

I opened a separate thread for the glitch/bug you found. We can discuss it on this thread: https://www.jotform.com/answers/799842. Thank you :)

Thanks for the clarification on the process, Charlie. The last-touched (replied to) assumption I mentioned was based on the events that I was only able to observe - hence, the inaccuracy.
The Referenced event:
... once a support staff have handled it, not necessarily the support staff needs to post a reply, he/she just needs to view the latest reply...
