I spend good time setting them up as I want, then test them live and they send the same plain autoresponder messages I originally changed. Yes I clicked FINISH after setting them up. Only moments later they are back to your basic format as if nothing had been changed INCLUDING Reply-to and Recipient Settings.
Please do help!

I can't seem to replicate the issue you are having. I cloned your form and made some changes in the autoresponder. I was able to save the changes and I saw that the changes were applied thereafter.
Can you try clearing your browser cache to see if that fixes the issue? Here's how: How To Clear Browser Cache. Also make sure that there is only one instance of the form open in your browser, as the changes made may not be applied if the form is open in two tabs.
