Conditional logic: Not able to copy HTML text to textbox field

I need to auto fill a certain field with data [names] when another field is = a given value.

When I tried this, only the first character was filled in from the fixed field entrys?

Can you please indicate the form in which you are having problems. I have just reviewed the form, 60703792426154, and noticed that you are trying to copy HTML text into a text area.

I have created and cloned your form and it seems that this is not allowed. I did some other test and was able to copy text from other fields (text box, text area) properly. When trying to copy HTML text, I could not.

Can you please indicate the type of fields and data you are trying to copy and into what field. We will be glad to assist.

This form for voting online has a need to fill in a field , based on the selection of another field   So if the selection was OB, then the Board Members field needs two name filled in from another "hidden" preset entry.

You can not update a field with a value from a Text field. However, what you are looking for can be accomplished through conditional logic, example: https://form.jotform.com/60817277585972
