It's great that there are no transaction fees, but what is the Dwolla business model that allows it to process payments without transaction fees and still make a profit?

UPDATE: Unfortunately, Dwolla is discontinuing its product as of October 2018. But if you’re looking for an alternative to collect ACH payments through your forms, you can check out other great alternatives here.

Dwolla is currently running on a Freemium business mode. If you need their premium features (e.g. Next day transfers, Priority support, White label) you will need to upgrade your Dwolla account to one of their paid plans.

As of June 4, 2015 Dwolla no longer charge the $0.25 fee for transactions over $10.00 USD.
